FAQ

Clarity is sacred. So are good questions.

We get it—joining a psychedelic church isn’t something most people do every day. Below are some of the questions we hear most often about The Psyrcle, our sacraments, and how it all works.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Psyrcle?

The Psyrcle is a spiritual organization that uses psilocybin mushrooms as a sacrament in guided ceremonial settings. We are a sincere religious community rooted in reverence, healing, and spiritual exploration.

Is this a real religion?

Yes. We are a legally recognized church under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), with a sincere belief system, a defined doctrine, and a structured spiritual practice.

Is psilocybin legal?

Psilocybin remains a controlled substance under federal law. However, The Psyrcle operates under the protection of RFRA, which allows for the religious use of controlled substances when sincerely held beliefs and proper safeguards are in place.

Do I need to be a member to attend a ceremony?

Yes. Participation in sacramental ceremonies is reserved for registered members of The Psyrcle who align with our Statement of Beliefs.

Is membership free?

Yes. Membership is free and open to individuals who resonate with our values and spiritual framework.

What happens during a ceremony?

Ceremonies include preparation, intention-setting, guided sacramental experience, medical oversight, and integration support. Each one is conducted with care, reverence, and safety as our highest priorities.

How are the mushrooms tested or sourced?

Psilocybin remains a controlled substance under federal law. However, The Psyrcle operates under the protection of RFRA, which allows for the religious use of controlled substances when sincerely held beliefs and proper safeguards are in place.

Is this therapy or mental health treatment?

No. Our ceremonies are spiritual, not clinical. While healing may occur, we are not a medical or therapeutic provider and do not offer diagnosis or treatment.

Can I bring a friend or partner to a ceremony?

Only registered members may attend ceremonies. If someone you know is interested, we invite them to explore our beliefs and consider becoming a member.
